关于非小说 About the Nonfiction Unit

很多家长问，什么是非小说。非小说单元的重点学习内容是什么？
Some parents wonder how to teach the child about nonfiction and what is the key in this unit?

非小说的特点：
The features of non-fiction:

1. 非小说是关于真的事情/事物。Nonfiction is real/about real things, not made-up stories
2.非小说给我们信息以及教我们如何做一件事情。Nonfiction gives us information and teaches us how to do something
3.非小说通常有：标题，目录，图表。（也有标注，词汇表等）Nonfiction usually includes: titles/headings,table of content and diagrams (and labeling & glossary)


生活中的非小说包括：Nonfiction in everyday life

地图，日历，说明书，菜单，指南，国家地理杂志，科学杂志等等；总之非小说是无处不在的。我们的生活离不开非小说。
Maps, calenders, instructions, menus, receipts, magazines such as National Geography.

非小说的写作：Writing nonfiction in Chinese (informational text)

幼稚园阶段，我们要求孩子能够就主题，绘画相关图片和抄写相关的信息。比如孩子想写一本过于馒头的书，孩子可以对卖馒头的中国面包店进行写生，孩子会画出他们看见的馒头，孩子会从书中摘抄关于馒头的句子来完成写作。

In K, we ask students to be able to draw and copy information about the theme. For example, a child who wants to write a book about Mantou will be able to sketch the mantou bread, the bakery that sells mantou, and COPY related information from the bread book.
